From the Model T to the latest models, Ford has produced over 350 million vehicles to date. Below are the top selling Ford vehicles of all-time:

1) Ford F-Series

The Ford F-Series is the top-selling Ford model of all-time exceeding over 14 million sales in the United States alone through 2015.  These full-size pickup trucks were first introduced in 1948 and thirteen generations later remain one of the most popular vehicles on the road today.

The Ford F-Series is highlighted by the Ford F-150, which remains the best-selling vehicle since its release into the market in 1975. The Ford F-Series as a whole has exceeded 33 million units sold worldwide.

2) Ford Escort

After gaining popularity in Europe, the Ford Escort compact car was released to the United States in the early 1980’s. The small family-size car was the first North American Ford vehicle to offer front-wheel drive.

The Ford Escort model remained in production until 2003 before it was replaced by the Ford Focus. It sold nearly 20 million units worldwide during its time.

3) Ford Model T

The Ford Model T was the first affordable vehicle mass-produced in the United States from 1908-1927. Despite being first produced over a century ago, the Ford Model T still remains among the top 10 in cars sold all-time with 16.5 million sold.

Henry Ford’s implementation of the assembly line changed the world of vehicle manufacturing forever. The Ford Model T will forever be known as the car that revolutionized automobile production.

4) Ford Fiesta

The Ford Fiesta Supermini is best-selling car of all-time in Great Britain with well over 4 million units sold in the UK since its inaugural year of 1976. Worldwide sales are approaching that of the classic Ford Model T as over 16 million Fiesta models have been sold to date.

Now on its seventh generation, the Ford Fiesta brand was recently released to North America again in 2010. The Ford Fiesta Mark VI and then soon after the Fiesta ST were Americans’ first taste of the Fiesta model since the first generation Fiesta Mark I.

5) Ford Focus

In the late 1990s, Ford Motor Company introduced the Ford Focus compact car to the automobile market. As a successor to the Ford Escort, the Ford Focus offered better fuel economy, more internal space, and more features.

6) Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang I introduced the “pony car” class of vehicles to the automotive world back in 1962. The Ford Mustang gained popularity quickly as an affordable sport coupe and has sold over 9 million units in the United States alone.

The Ford Mustang has yet to break stride in popularity since. Now in its sixth generation, the Mustang is Ford’s longest-enduring nameplate still in production.

7) Ford Transit

The Ford Transit line has produced a variety of light commercial vehicles since 1965. Cargo vans and passenger vans are amongst the most popular units sold by Ford Transit.

Spanning four generations, Ford Transit has sold over 8 million units. Today, the Ford Transit line owns over half of the full-size van market in the United States with no signs of slowing down.

8) Ford Taurus

The Ford Taurus was first introduced as a mid-size car in the mid-1980s replacing the Ford LTD. The aerodynamic design of the Ford Taurus offered both a sleek appearance and better fuel economy.

The Ford Taurus was the top-selling car in the United States for several years in the 1990s before the rise of the Toyota Camry. The Ford Taurus evolved into a full-size car at the start of 2008 and remains in production today. The seventh generation Ford Taurus was recently unveiled to the Chinese market.

9) Ford Explorer

Since its introduction to the market in 1991, the Ford Explorer is still one of the most popular sports utility vehicles driven today. The original first generation mid-size SUV was based loosely off its predecessor the Ford Bronco II.

The Ford Explorer brand transformed into a full-size crossover SUV in 2011. Now in its fifth generation, Ford has sold over 6 million Explorer models to date.

10) Ford LTD

The full-size Ford LTD model was first sold in 1964 before downsizing to a mid-size car in 1982. The Ford LTD continued production through 1986 before being replaced by the Ford Taurus. Over 5 million Ford LTD units have been sold to date.
